"Beyond clinical practice, I am dedicated to advocating for the rights and needs of patients, contributing to placing human care, mental health, and quality of life at the centre of health decisions at European and international levels."
Parallel to my clinical practice, I collaborate on projects supporting and promoting scientific research, health policy, and specialized consultancy. My involvement in these projects stems from the vision that health is not limited to the biological aspect — and from the urgency to counter the reality where, frequently, the person living with an illness sees their human dimension forgotten, feeling reduced to the pathology itself.
Driven by this purpose, I strive to contribute to the alignment between therapeutic solutions and people's true needs. My focus is to raise awareness of the impact of illness and treatments on daily life, adding my voice to the collective effort so that psychological well-being and patient dignity guide the different stages of decision-making and health innovation.
In this context, as a member of European consortia — such as the EU-CAYAS-NET Project and YARN (co-funded by the European Union) — I collaborate actively at European and global level, while also maintaining a collaborative presence nationally, in defining quality standards and best practices in oncology care and rare diseases. This work has translated into my frequent participation as an invited speaker and moderator at conferences of European and international relevance, as well as into the co-authorship of guidelines, scientific publications, and practical tools — such as psychosocial support and communication guides.
